March Landscape Maintenance Tips
With Spring right around the corner, this is a great time to get those Winter tasks completed before it gets to warm. There are a few things that should have been completed by now.
Here are a few examples:
- Winter pruning to shrubs and trees
- Pruning of old growth from the previous seasons perennials
- Warm season lawn fertilization and pre-emergent application
- Cool season lawn fertilization and pre-emergent application
- Post-emergent herbicides for weeds should be applied to problem areas in any turf and or landscape bed areas, hand pulling is also an option
- All of the Fall and Winter leaf work should be complete prior to installing pinestraw or mulch in landscape beds
- Scalping of old dormant growth in certain warm season turfs.
